Ras Sparrow presents his EP, Dub In Stone, inspired by the deep love and respect the Miami-raised, Chile-based Venezuelan artist has for dub music. This is his first completely instrumental work, whose tracks create a fantastic atmosphere of astral and mystical themes, on a colourful sound journey through analogue dub effects.

This project was in Ras Sparrow’s mind for a long time, and built on drum and bass foundations created by the artist himself. To these were added the keyboards of another Venezuelan, Roberto Sánchez, AKA Redbuay, Ras Sparrow’s guitars and the melodica of his wife La Makeda.

Dub In Stone is designed for headphone listening, in order to enjoy its full stereo sound and capture the experience of all its sound effects.

On this album, Ras Sparrow gives shape to one of his great passions – influenced by the original Jamaican dub sound of producers such as King Tubby, Lee “Scratch” Perry, King Jammy, Scientist and others. It is expected to be the first of many heavy dub projects in his career.

The EP is released alongside a video clip that complements the soundscape with animations created by Letra Sonora.

Recorded and mixed at Ras Sparrow’s own analogue and digital Dub Ark Studio in Santiago, Chile, and distributed by VPAL Music, Dub In Stone is available on all digital platforms.
