First artists announced for the Dub and Dancehall stages, while numerous preparties continue all over Europe

The Overjam International Reggae Festival will take place in Tolmin (Slovenia) from 16th-19th August, with a preparty on August 15th and an afterparty on August 20th; both parties will be held on the Festival’s beautiful beach. New names have been added to the Festival’s line-up. Soom T‘s amazing female voice, Mungo’s Hi Fi‘s sound from Glasgow, together with the English veteran Solo Banton, and the Italian singer Virtus joined the list of the many artists that have already been announced for the main stage.

There will also be numerous international sound systems who will alternate on the Green Stage (Dub music) and the Red Stage (Dancehall music). The Italian Moa Anbessa, Rockers Dub Master, Wicked & Bonny, together with the British Love Kulture Project, Kings Hi-Fi & Leo Samson (Raggae Roast), Tiffany Juno and Culture B will perform on the Green Stage and ensure unforgettable moments.

The first names to have been confirmed for the Dancehall stage are those of the Jamaican Iniman (Caveman Sound), the Italian Bomchilom, Pakkia Crew and Bizzarri Sound, the Belgian DJ Rakka, the Austrian Sued Massive and the Slovene Freedom Fighters. With the 10th anniversary of the Dub Lab, Ohoroho, Dubzilla and Rollking (Slovenia) join the stage as well. These are the names that have been added to the Festival’s line-up, which already includes Tarrus Riley, Marcia Griffiths, Kabaka Pyramid, Cali P, Dean Fraser, Alaine, Stylo G, I-Shence, Fleck, Lion D, Madred, Asher Selector, Earth Beat Movement and Wicked Dub Division.

The Overjam is not only a music festival, it is also a family-friendly event: this year’s kids activities will be organised in four different languages, there will be camp-sites with electricity available for camping vans, and a lot of extras are soon to be announced.

The already rich and varied line-up is not final yet: there is much more to come! While waiting for the names of the rest of the artists to be revealed, the Festival administration organised a long list of preparties in many European cities, where it will be possible to get a taste of what will take place in Tolmin in August. Some of the Festival’s artists will be there as well. The next events will be held in London (UK) with Mungo’s Hi Fi; Munich (Germany); Ljubljana (Slovenia); Belluno (Italy) with the Earth Beat Movement and the Jamaram; Mantua (Italy); Pordenone (Italy); Udine (Italy) with the WIcked Dub Division and Klagenfurt (Austria) with the sound Serious Thing.

During the preparties it will be possible to purchase the Festival’s tickets, that are now available for 79€ on our official website overjamfestival.com/shop; you may also have the chance to get the tickets as one of the lucky raffle winners.
