The 8th edition will be back in August with Alborosie, Israel Vibration, Queen Ifrica and Junior Kelly
The line up for the eighth edition of the Overjam Festival is now complete, with Alborosie, Israel Vibration, Queen Ifrica and Junior Kelly as featured artists. After last year’s change of dates, the event is once again in August, from 15th to 18th in Tolmin (Slovenia), on the banks of the Soča River.
Alborosie & Shengen Clan will celebrate his 25-year career with latest album, ‘Unbreakable – Alborosie meets The Wailers United’. 40 year reggae veterans Israel Vibration will bring their harmonies to a stage that will also feature Queen Ifrica‘s female energy. Junior Kelly and Ward 21 will augment the Jamaican presence, whilst from Europe, Zion Train, Cali P and Lion D stand out from a list of more than 40 international artists.
On the beach stage, there will be dj sessions with some historical friends of Overjam along with new additions. The extra musical programming will maintain the usual meetings of the University, courses and workshops, children’s area and the market, together with a wide variety of cuisines.
This year, Overjam extends its commitment to the environment, especially with the use of recyclable and biodegradable materials and an increase of vegan food on offer. Due to the presence in previous editions of abandoned tents in the campsite area, there is the option of renting a ‘Kartent’, already assembled and ready to enter, 100% recyclable and fully prepared to resist the sun and rain.
All this will take place in the spectacular ever-beautiful location, on the banks of the Soča and Tolminka rivers, near the Triglav park, just a few kilometers from Trieste and Ljubljana.
Both full festival tickets (€ 100 + commission) and daily tickets (€ 39 + commission) are on sale at mhshop website. There is a €30 discount on the total price when purchasing 4 passes together. This year there is also the new opportunity to purchase an Overjam 2019 Comfort Area upgrade. The upgrade includes access to the Indoor Comfort area with WiFi, comfort bar, indoor toilets, direct access to the main stage, parking and access to the festival very close to the city center.
