After the recent “Reggae Lovers Summer Tour” which brought them all over Italy and beyond, the Sardinian reggae band TRAIN TO ROOTS is back with the cover of ‘Easy’, Lionel Richie’s Commodores’ hit, which is released with the new videoclip and is free download on the band website www.traintoroots.it
With the main voice and amazing ‘lover’ style of Paolinho, one of the three band singers with Bujumannu and Rootsman-I, ‘Easy’ was produced by Antonio ‘PapaN’tò’ Leardi at the Shanty One Studio for Train To Roots Productions and rmastered at Sterling Sound (NYC).
This is the third “cover” recorded with Paolinho’s voice after “Amarsi un pò” of the great italian singer-songwriter Lucio Battisti, and “Fever” by John Davenport.
This new single is coming out with the video, which was shot entirely in Sardinia, filmed and directed by Massimo Gasole and produced by Illador Films. This choice is another proof of TRAIN TO ROOTS deep pride towards their sardinian roots. On September 20, 2012, the video was premiered exclusively on the official “XL Repubblica” Facebook page.
Besides being one of the most solid and interesting band of the Reggae italian music scene, Train To Roots are important representative of the Sardinian music as well. The band was founded in 2004 and since then has released three albums: “TRAIN TO ROOTS” (2005), “LAND AND WATER” (2008, re-edited in 2009), featuring artists such as Sergente García and Ranking Joe, and “BREATHIN ‘FAYA” (2011).
The intense studio work is reflected in their exciting live performances, which has led them to headline lots of italian and international reggae festival stages, constantly rising audience and critics’ appreciation.
