More than 4000 people from 25 countries attended each day of the eighth edition of the Overjam International Reggae Festival. Overjam 2019 took place from August 15th to 18th in Tolmin (Slovenia), reaching new heights of artistic endeavour and public response.

24 artists performed on the Maver stage. These included Jamaican veterans Israel Vibration, energetic lioness Queen Ifrica, Ward 21, and Junior Kelly. Also present were Guadeloupe’s Cali P,  St Croix’ Reemah, Italy’s Lion D and numerous representatives of the Balkan, Italian, Austrian and German reggae scenes. The area closed in grand style with headline performances by Alborosie and Zion Train, but the party continued at the River Beach Dancehall until 4 in the morning.

Overjam also consolidated its reputation as a family festival, welcoming more than 200 under-12’s. They enjoyed extra musical activities such in the childrens’ area, workshops and talks, as well as the soothing and pleasant natural location, close to Triglav National Park in the Soča river valley.

After three years of successfuly managing the event, the current promoters return this responsibility to the festival’s founders. They send their heartfelt thanks to the attendees of the latest editions and wish Overjam a successful path to its tenth anniversary.

The 2020 edition will be held from August 20th to 22nd, in the same location. Tickets will soon be on sale at
