The second album by the band from Florence, available now on all platforms
The Florentine Reggae band Earth Beat Movement return a year after the launch of their first album to present 70 BPM – also produced by Ciro Princevibe Pisanelli.
70 BPM is a journey of self-reflection, analysis and internal growth but also awareness. Almost all the lyrics were inspired by reading the works of Louis Hay, Wayne Dyer and the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu, all these texts are about positive thinking and self-awareness. “These are topics we can all relate too and the goal is to share key life lessons with as many people as possible. We must always remember this passage of life is nothing more than a wonderful journey of self-exploration that we must take step by step” the band explains. 70 BPM is also the pace at which they themselves like to “walk” on this journey; the tempo of the classic Reggae music which they grew up on, that so inspired them and to which they wanted to pay tribute.
Compared to the last album Right Road (released January 2015), this album showcases a more focused stylistic choice; apart for one ‘Rocksteady’ track entitled Con Un Sorriso In Più, all the songs are in English and the album is characterized by a strong Reggae feel. There are a total of fourteen tracks on the album, including two collaborations; one with German vocalist Jahcoustix on Heal Your Heart and Beautiful ladies featuring Raphael.
70 BPM is now available in digital format on all platforms with physical CDs on sale at the band’s live shows but EBM are also offering all their fans the opportunity to download a special mix signed by Moiz Dj [Kalibandulu] from Soundcloud now.
